- This is a synopsis for a commercial service using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13). THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 ? THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. 45 CONS/LGCB has a requirement for laundry and dry cleaning services for the 45th Medical Group at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation and any other items and services necessary to provide the laundry and dry cleaning services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, instructions and commercial practices as described in the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor will also be required to provide the various items/linens. Required services will be performed off base at the contractor facility. Period of performance shall cover a basic year (1 Oct 06 ? 30 Sep 07) and four, one-year option years. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. FA2521-06-T-0171 is issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 7218, business size of $13.0M and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 812332. GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 16 June 2006 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-5136) or e-mail.
