Description

This project is a RFP for the Carrizo Canyon Picnic area improvements. Located in Baca County, on the Pike San Isabel Natl. Forest, Comanche National Grasslands, approx. 35 miles SW of Springfield, Colorado on the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 27 (T33 S, R 50 W of the 6th P.M. Work for this project consists of demolishing existing picnic shelters. Clearing and grubbing, excavation, compaction, site grading, drainage grading, finish grading, and site cleanup. Construction of reinforced concrete slab on compacted or undisturbed soil with footers and steel columns, local stone pedestal walls, precast concrete benches and tabletops, steel roof frame and metal roofing with eave flashing. Close and rehabilitate social trails, and reconstruct native trail. Construct rock stairs, steps, benches, and water fords. Construct loop road with spurs and a highway turnout, local rock interpretative sign bases, install bulletin board, interpretive signs panels and directional signage. Furnish and install gravel surfacing on trails, loop road and parking lot. Furnish and install cattleguard in concrete base and reconstruct fence. This project is set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Government estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS code is 237990, Size standard $31.0 million.
