- Non personal services: -The contractor shall be required to disassemble, transport, and reassemble one A-10 Aircraft from NAS JRB New Orleans, LA to Nellis AFB, NV. Aircraft is for static display purposes and structural integrity will be maintained. This quotation will include all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, oversize permits, cranes, tools, materials, and other items and services necessary. In addition, please include the amount of liability insurance carried for each transport. Engines are not present in this aircraft. Offerors must provide a one page listing of experience and/or expertise in completing of jobs of similar size and scope. Solicitation will be available on or about 2 June 06. Please provide available pictures of aircraft at its site in NAS JRB Answer: Pictures are available of the site, please e-mail me to recieve them) (2. Was aircraft under water during Katrina Answer: No, the aircraft did not go underwater during Katrina. The base didn't take any standing/flood water) (3. Does this task include setting up as static display at Nellis? Answer: No, this will only include disassembly, transport, and reassembly of the aircraft) (5. Can we obtain the couple of pages from the aircraft manual to see all dimensions? Answer: Yes, pages from T.O. 1A-10A-3-1 will be available soon) (6. Has landing gear been welded in down and locked position? Answer: Customer is confident that landing gear is NOT welded down) (7. How extensively has the aircraft been stripped (weight purposes)? Answer: The aircraft is missing engines, APU, gun system and most major system LRUs. Other than that, it's complete) (8. Can we obtain the pages of the manual which details removing wings and empennage? Answer: Customer will provide the contractor with a current copy of the T.O. before project begins) (9. Will the Maintenance Manuals for the A-10 be available for the Disassembly and Reassembly? Answer: Customer will provide the contractor with a current copy of the T.O. before project begins) (10. Also, would it be possible to get the dimensions of the Aircraft? Specifically, the length of a wing from root to tip, fuselage and the empenage pieces, verticals and horizontals. Will the aircraft still have it's avionics installed along with an active ejection system or has the aircraft been completely "gutted"? Answer: Please see above) (11. What is the weight of the aircraft?
