Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking quotations for the acquisition of Nokia Model 560 Firewall Appliance with addition Hardrive, 1 gig memory, #NOK-NBB0560000, Maintenence for 10 Nokia 560. 5x8 Nokia Access Support Prorated to our exisiting Nokia Maintenenace account, #NOK-NSM5002560. This is a combiined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This procurement is being conducted as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 13. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the latest Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. This request for quotation is identified as Solicitation Number SSA-RFQ-06-1454. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: Nokia brand name firewall appliances are required. DELIVERY: The contractor shall deliver all quantities within thirty (30) days from receipt of the purchase order to the address as specified. PACKAGING: Each package must be marked with the Government Purchase Order number. DELIVERY LOCATION: Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to the Social Secruity Administration, National Computer Center, 6201 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21235. Delivery shall be made between the hours of 6:30a - 2:30p, Monday through Friday. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The clauses at FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders--Commercial Items are incorporated by reference. FAR 52.212-5 applies as follows: (a); (b)(5)(i), (14), (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20, (26), and (31). INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING OFFERS: The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items is incorporated by reference. Offers shall follow the instructions set forth therin. Paragraphs (e), (h), and (i) do not apply. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with its offer. Offers shall be submitted by 3:00 p.m. EST, June 13, 2006 to Joan Smith via email at joan.m.smith@ssa.gov. EVALUATION CRITERIA AND AWARD: The provision at 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items, applies as follows: Paragraph (a), the Government will award a purchase order to that offeror representing the lowest price brand name product (i.e. Nokia firewall appliances), deliverable within 30 calendar days from receipt of purchase order. Paragraph (b) is not applicable. Paragraph (c), a written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
