Description

In February 2005, the Navy Aerial Target and Decoy Systems Program Office (PMA-208) of the Program Executive Office for Strike Weapons and Unmanned Aviation [PEO(W)] conducted an RFI for an emergent Navy requirement for a cost-effective aerial target system to simulate a Subsonic Cruise/Supersonic Sprint Sea-Skimming Anti-Ship Cruise Missile Threat. Subsequent to the RFI, the Navy began the preparation and staffing of the requirements document and the Capability Development Document (CDD), as well as conducted a series of one-on-one meetings with industry. On 5 March 2006, the Navy released a FedBizOpps notice whereby responses to industry's questions resulting from the one-on-one meetings were published. The 5 March 2006 FedBizOpps notice also discussed the intended release of the draft Request for Proposal (RFP) and Industry Day. No specific dates were mentioned in the announcement. /////// AT THIS TIME, BOTH INDUSTRY DAY AND RELEASE OF THE DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD.
