- Lock 2 Sill Beam Fabrication: Principle work is to provide all plant labor and materials for providing two sill beams, each approximately 110 feet long. Upstream Sill Beam consists of a WT 13.5 x 97 with fastener holes in one half of the flange and spacer rod welded to the opposite site. This piece shall be shipped in three roughly equal lengths. All welding shall conform to AWS D1.1. A vinyl paint syst em shall be utilized for the surface finish. Shop drawings shall be provided prior to fabrication for government approval. Downstream Sill Beam consists of a built up steel box section. Portions of the built up box shall conform to ASTM A572 and others shall conform to ASTM A276 type 304 stainless. All welding shall conform to AWS D1.1. This may be shipped as more than one piece. The contractor shall be responsible for all splice welds at the final destination. Finish shall consist of a vinyl paint system. Shop drawings shall be provided prior to fabrication for government approval. Contractor to provide miscellaneous items including: Concrete reinforcing bar, reinforced concrete spacer blocks, rubber J-Seal, timber spacers, bolts (A325, A449, and stainless), threaded rod anchors, large diameter struts, shackles. Contractor shall be responsible for shipment of all finished products (FOB Delivered) to: Lock and Dam 2, 1350 Dam Road, Hasting, Minnesota 55033. It is expected that the requirement for delivery will be 31 August 2006. The solicitation is expected to be on this website on or about 27 June 2006. This is a Service Disabled Veteran set-aside for small business in accordance with FAR 19.1405. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Work in terms of price range is between $75,000 and $150,000. Note: Only firms who are recognized by the S mall Business Administration as Service Disabled Veterans are eligible for award.
