Requested delivery is within thirty (30) days after receipt of an award. This is a Sole Source with Applied Biosystems (ABI) IAW FAR 6.302-1. ABI is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement. ABI is the only source for the ABI 3900, an automated synthesizer capable of rapidly producing 48 oligonucleotides simultaneously, including the use of a variety of loading concentrations and the capability of adding up to six (6) modified bases. For quality control purposes and establishment of production parameters, ABI reagents need to be utilized. MCA-B already owns two ABI 3900?s and requires the use of ABI reagents in order to establish consistent production capabilities. To change the source of the reagents during this examination period would seriously hinder the process by creating more process variables. No solicitation documents exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 2819 with a business size of 1,000 employees and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 325188. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Applied Biosystems is the only source capable of providing this requirement. Phone calls will not be accepted. Point of contact is Bonnie Pruett, Contract Specialist, 45 CONS/LGCBB, 1201 Edward H. White II, Street MS7200, Patrick AFB, FL 32925, bonnie.pruett@patrick.af.mil.
