Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Portland, OR have a requirement at the California-Nevada Fish Health Center, 24411 Coleman Fish Hatchery Road, Anderson, CA 96007 to provide a new Automated Vacuum (Fish) Tissue Processor - Freestanding unit 100-120 Volt, 50-60 Hz. This tissue processor will be replacing one of three that are used sequentially for the processing of fish tissues samples in the histology department - selection process is "Best Value" (Experience & Past Performance). All shipping/freight charges should be included in the pricing as F.O.B. Destination. Suggested Brand Name - Leica ASP300, Mfg: Leica Microsystems or EQUAL. In addition to the suggested brand name, a description of the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that an "EQUAL" item must meet to be acceptable for award: Remote drain and fill for contact-free reagent handling. Stainless steel retort for durability and efficient transfer of heat. Retort has two optical sensors for liquid level detection. Displacement Blocks save reagents when operating at lower capacity. 300 Cassette capacity. Tidal agitation, to ensure thorough distribution of reagents throughout tissue cassettes. Color LCD monitor with touch-screen, solvent resistant and built into the console for increased stability. Through software, reagents are monitored and can be rotated. Instrument performance is also monitored and is downloadable.
