Description

The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection intends to procure on a sole-source basis a Micro Trim Phase III Thin Sectioning Machine, mdl. 1.103-DM, 120 volt, 60Hz to include 1 phase ? hp, 60Hz 2-speed spindle motor from Microtec Engineering, Box 636, Clifton, CO 81520. The Model 1.103-DM is the only thin sectioning machine know to be capable of holding seven(7) samples of standard thin section. CBP intends to award within 15 days of the date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes; however, sources that feel that they also are capable of fulfilling these requirements may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the Government within 7 days of publication of this notice. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and may be sent via email to susan.wallace@dhs.gov or faxed to her attention at 317-298-1344. No phone calls will be accepted. If no other responses are received, award will be made on 6/30/2006. The award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
