This announcement constitutes the o nly solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect throughout Federal Acquisition Circular 05-03. This packing shall be suited for use in hydro turbine wicket gates. Any manufacturer with a product simila r or equal to NEBCO style 104 anti-keystone braid mechanical packing shall be considered. Bidders price shall include shipment FOB Lower Granite 10 days after award. The Government reserves the right to purchase a second roll of this product, at quoted price, within 90 days of this award based on the needs of the Government. Specifications The packing shall be ? inch by ? inch made of a composition of Gortex Fiber GFO and Kevlar fiber yarn. The packing shall be designed that it naturally squares itself around the shaft. Braided packing that forms a wedge-shape (keystone) when formed around a shaft shall not be acceptable for this contract. SHEDULE The government requires delivery to 10 days after award of contract. Normal working hours at project is 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The product shall arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. during normal working days. This is to allow for unloading and inspection. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
