Posting questions and answers from Site Tour held on 6/12/2006. SITE TOUR Video Surveillance System ESQ060022 A site tour was held June 12, 2006, at the Interagency Fire Dispatch Center, Billings, Mt., for the video surveillance system. The following questions were asked with responses to follow: 1. What are you looking for in terms of length of time storage? A minimum of 100 gb of storage is required. The camera will be motion sensitive and record when motion is detected. 2. Does BLM require remote access to the recorder? No, BLM will not be using remote access to the recorder. 3. What is the delivery time for this requirement? Delivery will be 30 days from date of award. 4. Are there any indoor cameras needed? No indoor cameras are required. 5. Your solicitation mentions use of existing conduit. What is in the existing conduit that vendors have access to? A 2" conduit between the Fire Cache building and the Tool Repair building is available and houses existing telephone & data CAT 5 cable. 6. Do you want facial recognition on 100% of all cameras installed? Facial recognition is essential at all entrance doors and overhead doors. There are several areas where there is minimal lighting, and areas where some existing parking lot lighting may be factored in for camera specifications. We are requiring that cameras be responsive in low light situations and will provide adequate imaging for personnel identification 24 hours per day. 7. Do you have the building dimensions? BLM leases this building and only has approximate dimensions. Use the Graphic Scale on the drawing to estimate approximate dimensions/distances.
