Description

Base Work includes maintenance dredging shoal material from Puerto Nuevo Turning Basin to a required depth of 39-feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site located approximatel y 2.2 nautical miles north west of San Juan Harbor. Work includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. Silent Inspector System shall be used on hopper dredges. Bid Option A includes maintenance dredging shoal material from Puerto Nuevo Channel to a required depth of 39-feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth, and Army Terminal Turning Basin and Channel to a required depth of 40-feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth . Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site located approximately 2.2 nautical miles north west of San Juan Harbor. Work also includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. Silent Inspector System shall be used o n hopper dredges. Bid Option B includes maintenance dredging shoal material from Anchorage Area E to a required depth of 36-feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site located approximately 2.2 nautica l miles north west of San Juan Harbor. Work also includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. Silent Inspector System shall be used on hopper dredges. Bid Option C includes maintenance dredging shoal material from Anchorage Area F to a required depth of 30-feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth, Cruise Ship Basin East and West to a required depth of 30-feet plus 2 feet allowable over depth, and San Antoni o Channel to a required depth of 35 feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Bid Option G includes maintenance dredging shoal material from Puerto Nuevo Channel Berthing Area, Sta. 00+00 to Sta. 24+00 to a required depth of 28 feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Di sposal Site located approximately 2.2 nautical miles north west of San Juan Harbor. Bid Option H includes maintenance dredging shoal material from Graving Dock Turn ing Basin Tender and Outfitting Pier Berthing Areas to a required depth of 26 feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site located approximately 2.2 nautical miles north west of San J uan Harbor. Work also includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. Silent Inspector System shall be used on hopper dredges. Bid Option I includes maintenance dredging shoal material from San Antonio Channel South Berthing Areas to a required depth of 34 feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site located approximately 2.2 nautical miles north west of San Juan Harbor. Work also includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. Silent Inspector System shall be used on hopper dredges. Bid Option J includes maintenance dredging shoal material from San Antonio Channel North Berthing Area to a required depth of 34 feet plus 2-feet allowable over depth. Transport and place dredged material in Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site located a pproximately 2.2 nautical miles north west of San Juan Harbor. Work also includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. Silent Inspector System shall be used on hopper dredges. Bid Option K work includes placement of 17,000 cubic yards of approved fill material in designated San Juan Harbor Mitigation Area. Work also includes turbidity monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued on or about 30 June 2006 and open on or about 01 August 2006. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. COAST GUARD CERTIFICATION OF VESSELS IS REQUIRED I N ACCORDANCE WITH THE SEAGOING BARGE ACT. There will be a price preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307.
