Description

The description in the previous Announcement is amended to read as follow: The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is issuing a solicitation (2-step sealed bid) for the purpose of requesting proposals for providing new static excitation systems, one for each of the existing eight 165 megawatt hydro-electric generators, which includes: 1. Furnishing drawings and data, 2. Modify existing rotating DC exciter, 3. Removing and disposing of existing voltage regulators and generator field breakers, and associated equipment, 4. Furnishing, installing, and testing new static excitation system including fused disconnect switches, power potential transformers, circuit breakers, SCR bridges, digital voltage regulators with redundancy and associated limiters, instrumentation, protection, and control components, 5. Furnishing and installing 600-volt busway, 6. Furnishing and installing conduit for power and control wiring, 7. Furnishing and installing conductors for power circuits, 8. Furnishing and installing control and instrumentation wiring, 9. Furnishing spare parts, 10. Training Government personnel in operation and maintenance of new excitation system. In addition, providing spare static excitation system including circuit breakers, SCR bridges, digital voltage regulators with redundancy and associated limiters, instrumentation, protection, and control components. The work is located at Glen Canyon Dam approximately 2 miles northwest of Page, Arizona, in Coconino County. No site visit will be held on June 19, 2006. See Solicitation for details of date and location for site visit. The confirmed date will be listed in the solicitation. Approximate date of solicitation issuance is June 28, 2006. The contract will be firm-fixed price. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 335312.
