Description
This procurement is restricted 8A competitive. Remote Truck Inspection Station, Ft. Detrick, Maryland. Estimated cost of construction is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code assigned is 236210 with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. Co nstruction completion is 365 calendar days. Project includes the construction of one Search Building, one Gate House, two prefabricated Guardbooths, one Overwatch Guardbooth and two canopies. It also includes all associated site work, and utilities as we ll as the demolition of two existing structures (a 8 X 16 gatehouse and a 4 X 6 guardbooth) removal of utilities, asphalt roads, fencing, curbing, and walkways. The Search Building is a single story, masonry construction structure at about 1320 SF. The G ate House is also single story, masonry construction, and must meet a minimum ballistic level III rating at about 480 SF. The Guardbooths will be 32 SF each, and the Overwatch Guardbooth will be 36 SF. All Guardbooths will be prefabricated and meet ball istic level III construction requirements. The two canopies will be standing seam metal roofing and steel columns with brick finishes. The project includes the construction of new utilities, and the removal and/or relocation of existing utilities on the site. The site will require a significant amount of imported fill for regarding. This procurement will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation packag e. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses (SDB) contact their cognizant Small Business Administration (SBA) Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Bus iness Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor or a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Technical Data Solution System (FedTeDS)  a one-time registration process for vendors/contractors  Accounts may only be attained by CCR-registered contractors/vendors go to www.fedteds.gov for additional information. Plans and specifications will not be available in paper format. Use of the FedTeDS website requires prior registration at www.fedteds.gov.
