- Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals: (Army, Navy, Air Force) Southwest Region SUCTION CANISTERS & LINERS (RT & Anesthesia): Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, Southwest Region, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Suction Canisters & Liners. Southwest Region, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Suction Canisters & Liners. If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) on Suction Canisters & Liners, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by Email: cingrao@nmcsd.med.navy.mil and provide your company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax and E-mail address and answers to the below listed questions no later than July 5, 2006. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture and/or distribute a complete line of suction canisters and liners? 2.Are your products available through Cardinal Health, our Prime Vendor? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your product? 5.Under what standards is your product manufactured? 6.Under what regulatory and/or advisory agency do your products fall under? Are your products approved by these agencies? 7.Please provide a list of the products your company offers with sizes. 8.Are your products latex free? 9.Are your products available sterile and/or non-sterile? If so which products are available sterile and/or non-sterile? 10.Do your products have smooth edges? 11.What materials are your products made of? 12.What sizes do your canisters come in? 13.Are your canisters graduated? If so, in what increments? 14.Do your canisters have a filter on the vacuum port? If so, what is the filtration rate of the filter? 15.Do your canisters have a check valve or mechanism to prevent fluids from entering the facility suction lines should the canisters become full? 16.Do your canisters have a one-way valve from the tubing into the canister? 17.Do your canisters allow for emptying and reuse intraoperatively? 18.Do your canister have at least one port that can accept the various brands of isolyzer products on the market? 19.Do your canisters have a feature to prevent the tubing from kinking? 20.Are your canisters shatterproof if dropped? 21.Are your canisters single-use and disposable? 22.Are your canisters available with and without liners and tubing? 23.Do your canisters have caps for all ports? 24.Are all your ports labeled? 25.Are your canisters transparent? 26.Are liners required for your canisters? 27.Are your liners collapsible or rigid? 28.Are your liners graduated? 29.Are your products recyclable and/or environmentally friendly to discard? 30.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 31.What kind of staff training does your company provide? 32.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 33.If your company is awarded the Regional Incentive Agreement, will wall mounts, floor stand holders, and vacuum hose be provided at no charge for conversion? 34.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
