Description
This is a re-advertisement of an AD posted on January 17, 2006. The purpose of this re-advertisement is to expand the delineated area and to better define the security requirements of this leased procurement. THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (GSA) SEEKS SOURCES FOR LEASED OFFICE SPACE IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND. GSA is seeking to lease approximately 8,300 TO 9,300 BOMA usable square feet (usf) of office space, with a minimum of 24 on-site, reserved parking spaces. UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS: all space must be contiguous on one floor; and, the space must be on the second floor or higher. Perimeter walls must be constructed slab to slab. Requires 24 hour access to the space, with an elevator available, 7 days a week, and 365 days per year. LOCATION: the space must be located within the following delineated area: West Gude Road to East Gude Road (north) to Norbeck Road to Veirs Mill Road (east) to Randolph Road to Montrose Road (south) to Interstate 95 (west) to West Gude Road. LEASE TERM: one 5-year firm term, with one 5-year option. OCCUPANCY: not later than October 1, 2006. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: for new construction, a 50-foot set-back distance from the property line to the building fa?ade shall be required; for existing construction, a 20-foot set-back distance shall be required. Consideration will be given to buildings which possess a blast resistant fa?ade, window glazing, greatest setback distance, boundary protection and controlled building access. EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: (1) Building name, address and age; (2) available square footage, both usf and rsf ;( 3) ability to meet October 1,2006 occupancy date ;( 4) rental rate per rsf; (5) and, a scaled floor plan identifying offered space.
