Description: The Government intends to solicit a single source, Vitria Technology, for 2006 maintenance of Vitria Businessware existing software. This software was installed in 2002 throughout the Department of Veteran Affairs computer systems responsible for Heathcare and patient data communications. This software is a critical component of inter and intra agency medical data communications, and intra agency medical data communication architecture. These systems are in place in order to exchange critical patient data with other Departments in a highly secure and proprietary fashion as well as within our own Department. No other software is possible for the existing hardware.
