- Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to negotiate on a sole make and model basis as all or none, with Value Added Resellers (VARs) of Cisco for Electronic components, hardware/software that will replace end-of-sale/end-of-life network infrastructure equipment for data/voice communications at the National Space Science Technology Center (NSSTC) Huntsville, AL which uses an Internet Protocol (IP) telephony system to provide desktop phone service. Vendor shall certify that it is a Cisco Authorized Channel Partner as of the date of the submission of their offer, and that it has the certification/specialization level required by Cisco to support both the product sale and product pricing, in accordance with the applicable Cisco certification/specialization requirements. Unless otherwise specified, Vendor shall warrant that the products are new, in their original box. The Vendor confirms to have sourced all Cisco products submitted in this offer from Cisco or through Cisco Authorized Channels only, in accordance with all applicable laws and current Cisco's applicable policies at the time of purchase. Vendor shall provide Buyer with a copy of the End User license agreement, and shall warrant that all Cisco software is licensed originally to Buyer as the original licensee authorized to use the Cisco Software. Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to purchase these items from Value Added Resellers (VARs) of Cisco pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, which implements the statutory authority at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) for acquisition of a specific make, model, or services available from only one or a limited number of sources. Interested firms have until June 27, 2006 4:00 PM CDST to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the attached Request for Quote, and all associated paper work per the special instructions. Responses received after June 27, 2006 4:00 PM CDST without the required information will be considered non responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata Associates, Inc. to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Arcata Associates, Inc. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ), and includes complete description and part numbers together with Representation and Certifications, and Arcata Associates, Inc. Terms and Conditions and all attachments must be completed in order for consideration. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to the WWW who wish to obtain the relevant documents covering this synopsis, please access said information at http://procurement.nasa.gov as no hardcopy will be provided by this office. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. All responsible sources may submit an offer by the required date which shall be considered by Arcata Associates, Inc. This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet the accessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 7941). The specific Technical Standards that apply will be identified in the solicitation. In responding to any solicitation subsequent to this synopsis, you must state if the products offered meet the identified Technical Standards.
