- Description
- Provide all labor, tools, supplies, equipment, and transportation necessary for the maintenance and repair of Crash Fire Rescue Training Facility (CRFTF) at McConnell AFB KS. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, the Aircraft Trainer, the Tower Trainer, the control station, and the underground pipelines connecting the trainers to the water and propance tanks. The base period of performance will be 1 Oct 06 through 30 Sep 07 with four option years. The NAICS code for this service is 811310. This requirement will be a small business set aside. The anticipated issue date for the solicitation is 27 Jun 06. It will be available only via the Fed Biz Ops website (www.fbo.gov). It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the web page for the solicitation, notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. No hard copies will be provided. This contract will contain the Ombudsman clause (AFFARS 5352.201-9101). 5352.201-9101 OMBUDSMAN (10 AUG 2005) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMBC A-76 competition performance decisions). (c) If resolution cannot be made by the contracting officer, concerned parties may contact the Center/MAJCOM ombudsmen, Mr. Michael R.
