This announcement is being placed on FBO on behalf of the Lead Systems Integrator for the Future Combat System (FCS) program and is NOT a Government procureme nt. No Government solicitation will result from this announcement. The Boeing Company, on behalf of the Lead System Integrator (LSI) for the Future Combat System (FCS) Program is researching companies who possess the required experience and development capabilities relating to Lightweight/compact MILES Detectors (IAW PMT 90-S002J MILES Communication Code (MCC) Standard, 19 January 2005 http://www.peostri.army.mil/PRODUCTS/MCC/ECP_FILES/MCC_StandardPMT90_S002J_050119.pdf ) that could possibly be embedded on the FCS ground and air platforms. Innovative alternatives involvi ng low-voltage lightweight / compact audio solutions and lightweight / compact visual indicators that could be embedded in the FCS platforms are also invited for consideration. - Lightweight sensors / detectors - Lightweight / compact visual indicator (e.g. whoopee light , kill indicator or any other light solutions). Needs to be ruggedized and visible at a distance of 1000 meters in a full sun lit standard clear day with the unaided eye - Lightweight / compact audio system for transmittal of sound associated with the weapons effects Interested parties are hereby requested to submit responses no later than July 14, 2006.
