Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations for a firm fixed price contract on an other than full and open competition basis with Bruker AXS Inc, 5465 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Madison WI 53711-5373 for an Upgrade to an existing Siemens R3 X-ray Diffractometer. The system upgrade will replace all necessary hardware and software to become fully equivalent to a BRUKER SMART APEX II 3 KW Sealed Tube System (60Hz.) The upgraded system will contain: a Smart APEX II CCD area detector, Bruker Frame Buffer Computer, Graphite Monochromator, Cabinet/enclosure for sealed tube system, Short Anode X-ray tube type KFF Mo 2K 90 deg ceramic, X-ray generator Kristalloflex K780( rack mount), APEX 2 software Suite, full upgrades of SHELXTL software & current site license. Rotary shutter for sealed tube generator, color video camera for display of crystals, ylid crystal mounted on goniometer head, replacement of existing water to water refrigerated heat exchanger, single pump, site training for 2 days to customize system and transition existing data to upgrade system, and lastly AUTOSTRUCTURE software Plug-in for APEX2, windows. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). This requirement is limited to Bruker AXS, Inc because of its proprietary software and unique capabilities of the Bruker Smart Apex II 3 KW Sealed Tube System. Any firm believing they can provide the Upgrade of the existing Siemens R3 X-Ray Diffractometer that meets the specifications may submit a written response to be received by the Contracting Officer no later than (15) days after this notification is published. Responses shall provide documentation to include brochures and/or literature that show they can meet the requirements stated in the solicitation. All requests must reference RFQ N68936-06-T-0131.
