Description
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington is seeking eligible firms capable of performing maintenance, repair, abatement and construction of facilities, systems, and equipment services for Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington and its customers at various locations throughout Washington metropolitan area. This requirement will be awarded as combination Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity contract .The estimated value of this acquisition for the base period with all options is $178,000,000.00. The period of performance will tentatively start January 1, 2007. The North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 561210, size standard $30.0 million. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of procurement. Based on the results the Government will decide if this requirement is appropriate to offer as a Small Business Set-Aside. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. The primary locations of service are: Washington Navy Yard (South East Washington DC), National Navy Medical Center (Bethesda, MD), Naval Research Laboratory (South West Washington DC), Anacostia Naval Station Annex (Southwest Washington DC), United States Naval Observatory (North West Washington DC, and Potomac Annex (South West Washington DC). Certain Government installations may require personnel to be able to obtain Top Secret clearances. The maintenance, repair, abatement and construction services will direct Service Provider performance under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) as well as the numerous Federal, Navy, State and local Lead and Asbestos regulations. The RFP will involve Service Provider performance of various workload combinations of maintenance, repair, abatement and construction under various Lead and Asbestos, CERCLA, RCRA, non-Lead, Non-asbestos, non-CERLA and/or non-RCRA regulated maintenance requirements. Work will include, but is not limited to regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, unscheduled maintenance repair and minor construction of building equipment, switch gear, transformers, storm drains, and other ancillary equipment. Use of Government supplied Maximo database will be required. The government will not provide copies of the solicitation.
