Description
Logistic & Distribution Center Cincinnati, Ohio Amendment 1 issued includes the following: 1)Contract changes (are in blue) in solicitation # 512582-06-A-0009 2)Change in attachment 17 page 16 3)Copy of the transcript of the Pre-proposal Meeting 4)CD # 2 existing facility drawings (1-35) for information only 5)CD # 3 existing facility drawings (36-73) for information only 6) New Management Plan 7)Questions and Answers 8)Deviations The United States Postal Service intends to award a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP design/build contract to design and construct a Logistic and Distribution Facility (L&DC) in Cincinnati, Ohio. The scope of work for the project is estimated in the range of 5 to 6 million dollars. The site is a USPS lease site. The contract will be accomplished in two phases: Phase I development of 100% design drawings, Phase II will be the construction of the facility. Funding of the project is subject to Postmaster General Approval. The scope of work includes design and construction of the new L&DC consisting of approximately, 147,825-square-foot. Total period of design and construction for this project will be 270 calendar days. A detailed scope of work for this project is included in the solicitation documents. This request for proposal is being issued only to prequalified contractors. Primary consideration will be given to superior technical or management features rather than lowest overall cost. While the above listed seven firms have already been furnished a Solicitation Package on CD, others, i.e. subcontractors, material, equipment suppliers and other interested parties can purchase copies of the Solicitation. It is available on a Compact Disks (CDs contain complete solicitation with plans provided in plot file and drawing file format) or full set of plans and specs ?Hard Copy? with CDs may be purchased. Solicitation packages are due by 3:00 pm EST, Tuesday July 11, 2006 and should be mailed, using one of the services offered by the Postal Service, to Mr. Carrasquillo, Supply Management Facilities Portfolio, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22203-1840. The USPS encourages the participation of small, minority, and women owned business subcontracts for this project.
