Date: June 7, 2006 Notification of Release of Prospectus for the Operation and Maintenance of Forest Recreation Facilities, Lake Tahoe Basin Recreation Complex File Code: 2330 The Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU), is pleased to announce that it will soon release a prospectus to solicit applications for a 5-year term special use permit for the operation and maintenance of ten Government-owned campground and day use recreation sites located within the LTBMU. The sites are: West Shore Complex William Kent Campground/Beach Kaspian Campground/Beach Meeks Bay Campground Meeks Bay Beach Day Use South Shore Complex Bayview Campground Baldwin Beach Day Use Fallen Leaf Campground/Store Pope Beach Day Use East Shore Complex Nevada Beach Campground Nevada Beach Day Use The Forest Service is looking for applicants to provide high-quality public services at these sites. If you are serious about applying for this business opportunity, please contact the LTBMU at the following address by the end of business on June 30, 2006 to assure that you are sent a copy of the prospectus: Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit Forest Supervisor, Terri Marceron, Attention: Campground Prospectus 35 College Dr. South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 Copies of the offering will also be available on the LTBMU web site at www.fs.fed.us/r5/ltbmu or on www.fedbizopps.gov/. The prospectus will have a 45-day offering window. Business Plans will be required and independently evaluated by the University of Nevada, Reno, Small Business Development Center. A secondary evaluation of your proposal will be conducted by a Forest Service panel, with the final award being announced by October 2006. A $1,000 application fee will be assessed for these evaluations ($500 to the SBDC and $500 to the Forest Service).
