- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistic Center intends to issue a solicitation and award a requirement type contract, with a base year and four (one year) option periods for the purchase of Chilled Water Pumps used on the 270? Coast Guard Cutters. The solicitation will be issued on a brand name or equal basis using the brand name Goulds Pump. The following is the list of items that will be purchase: (1) Chiller water pump Goulds Pump model number 3996 ST, SIZE 1.5 x 3-6 or Equal. The salient characterics are as follows: Coupled vertical in-line centrifugal pump unit with base plate, C-Face motor mount assembly, and electric drive motor as a single unit. Dimensions: IAW ASME B73.2, Max overall coupled Height: 45 inches, Width: 15 inches; Length 15 inches; Service: Chilled Water (Sp. Gr. 1.0, Sic 1.000 cp) Capacity: 135.0 GPM, Head: 128.0 FT; NPSHR 8.5 FT; Pump Material: IAW ASTM F998; Casing: 316 SST, Impeller: 316 SST, Shaft: Solid (non-sleeved) 316 SST, Gland: 316 SST; Seal Chamber: Standard Bore w/ flushing line Mechanical Seal: Cartridge Type, Single, IAW ASTM F 1511. Flanges: 150# FF; Motor: 3500 RPM, 460V AC, 3-phase, 60 Hz, continuous duty, TEFC, 50 degree C, SF 1.15, IAW IEEE-45 and NEMA MG-1. Estimated quantity for the pump is 8 each for the base year; and 6 each for option year?s one through five. (2) Production Testing and Inspection Certificate: Estimated quantity is 2 each per pump ordered. (3) Data for Provisioning (DFP). Estimated quantity 1 lot. This item is only required in the base year. In addition, the contractor will also be required to provide Engineering Documentation Package (EDP) with its quote. The resultant contract is to be a requirements contract with a base and four option years. Delivery will be F.O.B. destination to the U. S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Bldg. 88, Baltimore, MD 21226. Delivery schedule for the fans shall be 50 calendar days after issuance of Delivery Order; The DFP shall be delivered 30 calendar days after award of contract and the EDP shall be submitted with the contractor?s quote. Any Contractor offering an ?or equal? shall be required to provide literature which addresses all salient characteristics. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOps on or about July 5, 2006. It is the contractor?s responsibility to check FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments issued.
