- Description The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) anticipates awarding a sole source contract modification to Contract number DTFH61-05-C-00029 with the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), Boulder, CO; this contract was initially awarded as a sole source. The modification is being issued to increase the scope of work UCAR is currently performing on the Maintenance Decision Support System Project Technology Transfer Enhancements. UCAR is in the process of enhancing their prototypical software that was designed to mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions on roads. UCAR has provided all of the testing, data analysis and preparation of reports in developing prototype software. The modification will broaden the existing on-going tasks to include technology transfer and additional software enhancements. The period of performance of this contract will be extended from August 31, 2006 to August 31, 2007.
