Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, has a requirement to perform pre-cruise inspections, surveys and repairs on the T/S ENTERPRISE at pierside, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Buzzards Bay, MA. The work includes installation of CO2 alarm systems, weight testing of lifeboats and davits, gray water drain maintenance, testing of pressure vessels and relief valves, inspection of fire extinguishers and CO2 system, testing/certification of sprinkler system, servicing of SCBA units, testing of MXL fire detection system, liferaft servicing, annual hull and machinery inspections, and a number of optional work items. A site survey and preproposal conference will be conducted July 13, 2006 on board the vessel. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
