Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for a service program agreement for one (1) 3D Optical Imaging System, model number WS5000, manufactured by Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, 221 Lanthrop Way, Suite I, Sacramento, CA 95815. This service agreement is needed in order to keep this equipment in proper working order. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Ophthalmic Imaging Systems is the developer of the original piece of equipment and is currently the only known authorized source for this service agreement. The procurement of this service agreement needs to be completed in a timely manner in order for the 55th Medical Group to meet its mission requirements.
