Description: The Information Technology, E-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center-West (ITEC4-W) Fort Huachuca, Arizona is providing this notification for Request for Proposal (RFP) for the re-competition of Contract F62321-01-C-0070, Operation and Maintenanc e of the Okinawa, Japan Reconfiguration and Digitization (JRD) Communications System for the 58th Signal Battalion in Okinawa, Japan. The requirements to be provided under the JRD contract include the operations and maintenance of the Global Information Gr id (GIG) in Okinawa, which consists of 22 sites and 23 communication links. The 15 fiber optic links and 9 digital microwave radio links that comprise the JRD-OKI system provides the inter-base Defense Information System Network (DISN) for the U. S. milita ry bases on Okinawa. A request for Proposal (RFP) is anticipated to be released on/or about 17 July 2006.
