Description

On or about 21 July 2006, this office will issue Invitation for Bids for construction of the CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, SGBP950902, AT OFFUTT AFB, NEBRASKA. The solicitation will close on or about 23 Aug 2006. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 2 August 2006. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: This is a Fully-Designed Project. The work consists of construction of a 4,796 SM (51,605 SF) Child Development Center at Offutt AFB, NE. The building will provide accommodations for 302 children, and provide a safe and healthy environment that includes early childhood development and preschool programs. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: This office will no longer send copies via paper or CDS of amendments and solicitations to interested parties. Solicitation documents will be posted on Federal Technical Data Solutions or FedTeDS. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safe guard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeDs, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeDS in note 2 below. The process to download from FedTeDS is: 1. Find solicitation announcement in FedBizOpps at: www.fbo.gov 2. Once you open the solicitation announcement on FedBizOpps, there will be a link provided to the solicitation on FedTeDS. Click on the link. 3. If you are a first time user, you will have to register as described in the information included below; if not log in and open the solicitation. 4. Once you have the solicitation open, you can begin downloading the various files to your location. Please be advised that an on-line registration requirement in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov/ and directed solicitation provisions concerning electronic annual On-line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at http://o rca.bpn.gov exists. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective for one year from date of s ubmission or update to ORCA. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website at: https://www.fedteds.gov by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink.
