- The National Park Service (NPS) contemplates issuing a sole source contract to provide preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed for air conditioning (HVAC), un-interruptible power source (UPS), and power distribution unit (PDU) equipment. The duties include but limited to: 1) The contractor will provide the NPS with a comprehensive system of maintenance for the HVAC, UPS and PDU. The equipment will be maintained to the manufacturer's specifications or better. 2) The contractor will respond within 4 hours from initial request for emergency request 24x7 for HVAC, UPS and PDU. 3) The contractor will provide preventative maintenance for the HVAC, UPS and PDU as to reduce and eliminate unscheduled outages and breakdowns. This will include but is not restricted to, check temperature, load balancing, and damage and wear. 4) The contractor will provide the NPS with a preventative maintenance proposal and schedule. 5) The contractor will clean the HVAC, UPS and PDU during the preventative maintenance schedule. 6) The contactor will provide all labor, parts, materials and travel cost required to maintain and repair the HVAC, UPS and PDU. 7) The contractor will make sure that all work areas are left clean and secure. 8) The contractor will provide the NPS with a proposal first before any work can be done that is beyond the scope of this contract. Proposal must be complete with cost, equipment requirement and date for replacement or repair. 9) The contractor will coordinate and communicate with any other vendors that may be used on this contract to provide maintenance and repair. 10) The contractor will provide the NPS with an initial mechanical survey for all equipment listed below. Any deficiencies found will be documented and a proposal will be submitted for corrective action. 11) The contractor will be responsible for the maintaining equipment identified in the SOW. Also, the contractor will maintain any equipment that is used to replace equipment listed in the SOW. The contract is planned for a base period with 3 option periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting descriptive literature illustrating corporate capabilities to provide the required services or submit proposals. All responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
