- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; offers are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for: 1.) PRESSURE REACTION APPARATUS * (quantity required 2 each) 2.) CONVERSION TO FIXED-HEAD MOUNTING * (quantity required 2 each) 3.) SPARE PARTS KIT * (quantity required 2 each) STIRRED PRESSURE REACTOR SPECIFICATIONS: Size, mL: 2000 Maximum Pressure: 1900 psi (130 bar) Maximum Temperature with PTFE Flat Gasket: 350 ?C Vessel Style: Removable Reactor Mounting: Bench Top Head, cylinder, and internal wetted parts of T316 Stainless Steel External Fittings: T316 Stainless Steel Magnetic Drive: T316 Stainless Steel Closure (Cap Screws): Split-Ring (6) Valve Connections: 1/8" Male NPT Maximum Torque: 16 Inch-Pounds Impeller(s), 6-blade:2 Head equipped with: Gas inlet/ liquid sampling port with valve and dip tube Pressure Gage, Size: 4.5 inches, Range: 0-600 psi (40 bar), with 600 psi relief valve. Safety rupture disk, INC, pre-bulged, 1000psi Gas relief valve Temperature Measurement: Thermowell (w/o thermocouple) Cooling Coil : Ports for cooling coil, plugged Magnetic Stirrer with 16 in-lb torque with gas entrainment impeller and removable baffles Manual speed controller: 0-1700rpm (1/8 hp), 115V Jacketed cylinder, without heater Bottom Drain Valve: 3/8" NPT, SS, ID 0.38, Max pressure: 2000psi, max temp 350C Heater Style: Calrod Heater Power Watts: 1500 Vessel Dimensions Inside Diameter, inches: 4.0 Inside Depth, inches: 10.5 Reactor Dimensions Width, inches w/o Controller: 16.5 Depth, inches: 23.5 Height, inches: 48 ASME certification Conversion kit to covert to fixed head mounting Spare parts kit which includes replacement gaskets, o-rings, drive belts and seals for reactor unit. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 05-09. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 339111 and 500 employees respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by noon Eastern Daylight Time on July 06, 2006 to fax: 216-433-2480 and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall list the country of origin. FAR 52.212-4 (SEPT 2005), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items is applicable.
