Description

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Estuarine Habitat and Coastal Fisheries Center (EHCFC) is conducting market research for the replacement of sealants and gaskets around the exterior glass at the EHCFC site located at 646 Cajundome Blvd, Lafayette, LA. The RFI number is NMFS0094KAR. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to replace sealants and gaskets on exterior glass with a Viracon compatible product. Viracon is the manufacturer of the exterior glass, a tempered and heat strengthened glass. Products shall be installed in accordance with Viracon?s recommendations and instructions. The contractor shall be liable for expenses involved in the removal of and installation of replacement sealants or gaskets, and any other incidental or consequential damages. All work is to be completed during regular business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Service Contract Act Wage rates apply and may be accessed at http://www.wdol.gov/ . Any contractors doing business with the Government must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry. The web site is http://www.ccr.gov/ . Written responses to this market survey should address company capabilities, past experience, business size, scheduling availability, and estimated costs. This RFI does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals or Request for Quotes. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.202(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information should be submitted to Kelly A. Rima, U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA/MRAD, Acquisition Division, MC3, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305 no later than July 6, 2006.
