- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the following Commercial item: Remote Videoscope System. The system must meet the following specifications: Must have processing unit with high intensity lighting capable of operating on 110V, 60 Hz AC power. Must have remote pendant able to work minimum of twenty (20) feet from the processor unit and able to mechanically articulate distal probe end and digitally capture images and audio. Must be able to digitally capture still images (in .tiff/.bmp and .jpg file formats), movie images (in .avi/.mpg with ability to change file format) and audio recording (in .wav file format) and manually able to specify a file name for each (if desired) when saving format. Must have built-in microphone or provide microphone for audio input at the remote pendant when required. Must have easily detachable/changeable probe having a minimum length of 7.5 meters (25 feet) and maximum of 6.2mm outer diameter and have mechanical articulation (minimum of 90? up/down/right/left) of distal end. Must have a minimum of 1GB storage with ability to transfer to PC for email/further processing (any cables/software must be Windows 2000 NT/XP compatible and licensed for a minimum of 5). Must have side-by-side comparison, stereoscopic (or equivalent) measurement and profile capabilities (stored images to be further processed for measurements/profile). Must be compatible with analog monitor and VHS video tape recorder for a minimum of two (2) hours recording time or vendor must supply separate remote monitor with ability to operate at pendant remote from processor . Must have digital lighting enhancement capability. Must have to minimum of 2X digital zoom. Must have text and graphic indicator generator for placement of text on images (live or still). Must have ability to easily change tip adaptors to vary direction, depth-of-field (DOF) and field-of-view (FOV) and measuring distal tip adaptors to cover measuring both forward (0?) and side view (90?). Must provide changeable tip adapter(s) or equivalent to cover the following FOV/DOV requirements: Dual View Minimum 90? FOV forward and side /DOF 5mm to infinity Wide View Minimum 200? FOV forward /DOF 5mm to infinity General View Minimum 100? FOV forward /DOF 25mm to infinity General View Minimum 100? FOV side /DOF 5mm to infinity Stereo View Minimum 60? FOV forward / DOF 5mm to infinity (measurable DOF minimum 5 mm to 25mm) Must provide a spare high intensity light source. Must have mobile carrying case for equipment not to exceed 24?W x 24?D x 48?H. Must provide two (2) each O&M manuals The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334519 and 1,000, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNK06162414Q is on or about July 5, 2006 with an anticipated quotation due date of on or about August 4, 2006. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
