- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required item under PRN6141406RC016FN. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Norfolk intends to purchase the following service(s): (1) Task: The scope of work under this request for quote will be for the contractor to separate lead bullets from the rubber Grantex. This will be done by removing approximate 100 percent of the rubber Grantex (approximately 5 cubic yards) in each of the 16 Point rifle and 15 Point Pistol firing positions of the Naval shipyard indoor range. The location will be at the Naval Shipyard Indoor Pistol Range, Portsmouth, Virginia. This will remove approximately 99 percent of the bullets in the traps. When possible, rubber Grantex will be recycled and used to refill the front reserve bins of the traps. If rubber Grantex cannot be recycled, the Government will provide rubber Grantex to refill the front serve bins. The contractor will heap vacuum concrete floor and walls inside the range; and 200 square feet of floor outside of the range entrance. The contractor will wet wipe all horizontal and vertical surfaces from firing lines to back walls and from the bottom of the safety ceiling to floors. The range will be closed for no more than 14 days for completion of work. The contractor will inspect bullet trap components for conformance with manufacturers? specifications and will notify government representative of any defects. Evaluation and testing: the government representative and contractor will inspect work and perform test on equipment.
