Description

Deerfield River bank stabilization at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Deerfield, MA The proposed work is to stabilize an eroding streambank to protect the Waste Water Treatment Plant by installing approximately 460 linear feet of rock riprap (D50 of 18 inches and maximum size of 36 inches). The major items of work include installing the rock riprap along the toe and on the slope, installing fabric encapsulated soil lifts above the rock riprap, installing tree revetments downstream of the riprap, protecting the work from the flows of the Deerfield River during construction, earth fill, slope shaping, plantings and seeding. The period of performance is 72 days. The solicitation package, to include drawings and specifications, will be posted to www.fedbizopps.gov on or around July 11, 2006. The bid opening will be August 11, 2006 at 10:00 am (local time) Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid conference and site showing on July 26, 2006 at 10:30 am. The meeting place for the site visit will be at the Deerfield Waste Water Treatment Plant on Little Meadow Rd, Deerfield, MA. The NAIC code for this work is 237990 and the small business size standard is $31 million. This work is subject to Davis Bacon wage rates. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
