Description
This Sources Sought Synopsis does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Requests for a solicitation will receive no response. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the upgrade described below. These parties must identify the e requirements described herein, reference the synopsis number and indicate whether or not that they are a small or small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 334511. The small business size standard is 750 employees. The US Department of the Air Force has an FMS requirement to provide an upgrade for the electronic circuitry of the Model M7030 Direction Finding System manufactured by Servo Corporation of America in order to provide for continued support of the presently installed systems and to make them operational. The units are presently in various states of disrepair due to part obsolescence and unavailability. The upgrade is to interface with the VHF and UHF DF Antenna and RF Commutator of the Quasi Doppler dipole antennas that are presently installed. The following is a listing of the assemblies in the Servo Model 7030 Direction Finding System requiring electronic upgrade: P/N 400047-05 UHF Receiver Processor and UHF Receiver P/N 400043-94 P/N 400049-07 VHF Receiver Processor P/N 400045-20 VHF Display Control and P/N 400045-19 UHF Display Control P/N 400044-18 and P/N 400038-99 Electronic Cable Assemblies P/N TM 75-10-30 and PUB 81-04-06 Updated Manuals and Installation Instructions In addition, replacement cables are required to interface between the present Antenna and Commutator Assembly and the Receiver Processors. These cables consist of three assemblies: P/N 400033-65 UHF and VHF RF Cable P/N 400045-19 Commutation Cable for the Display Control P/N 400033-67 Power Cable for Obstruction Lights There are no Drawings available. The information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in July of 2006.
