- Description
- Repair five Battalion size dining facilities (BN 5915, BN 5917, BN 5940, BN 6012, BN 6018) and one Company size dining facility (CO 1475) on Fort Knox. Repair of CO 1475 is included as an option to the base bid. As needed in the selected buildings, the project will replace waste water lines, domestic water lines, water storage tanks, grease traps, exhaust vents, internal gas service lines, electrical wiring and panels, and repair/replace loading docks. Project will perform wall, ceiling, and floori ng repairs. Project replaces doors and installs mechanical air curtains above doors as needed. Project replaces latrine fixtures. Project replaces built-in walk-in coolers and installs three-compartment sinks. Project will replace outdated dry fire hood suppression systems with systems tied to the building fire alarm systems. Battalion facilities require installation of fire alarm systems. Project replaces/repairs HVAC equipment as needed. Project includes asbestos abatement. There is one option: Opti on 1 Provide similar repairs to one Company size dining facility (CO 1475). Project will be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LTPA) procurement. Proposal will be evaluated based on the following technical evaluation factors: Prime Contractor Construction Experience and Prime Contractor Construction Past Performance. Estima ted cost range for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. NAICS Code is 236220. Size Standard is $31.0 Million. Contract duration is 365 days. Solicitation will be issued on or about 10 July 2006 and approximate closing date is 10 Augus t 2006 at 4:00 PM Louisville Local Time. This project will be available by downloading from the Internet.
