Description

Maintenance dredging of the Philadelphia Naval Business Center Reserve Basin, Philadelphia, PA. The contract will be broken down into six dredging sections. Dredging in Section 1 will be required to a depth of 37 feet MLLW plus 1 foot allowable overd epth and dredging in Sections 2,3,4,5 and 6 will be required to a depth of 30 feet MLLW plus 1 foot of overdepth. Side slopes and box cuts will be required for this contract. Hopper dredging shall not be permitted under this contract. The Government-furn ished disposal area available for use under this contract is Fort Mifflin Disposal Area B and Area C. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located a t https://w ww.fedteds.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers m ust be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation documents/information. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or CAGE Code, Telephone Number , E-mail Address. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website: https://fedteds.gov/ by clicking on Register With FedTeDS hyperlink. The Solicitation documents, Plans and Specifications will be available to be downloaded on or about 18 July 2006 with a bid opening date on or about 17 August 2006 at 11:00 am. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $18.5 Million. The estimated cost range of the project is over $10,000,000.00 and bonding is requ ired. Affirmative action to insure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Liquidated damages will be specified. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder. All contractors must be registered in the DoD's Central Contract R egister before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Instructions will be included in the Solicitation.
