Description

The US Fish and Wildlife Service intends to make an award to Northwest Marine Technology for the purchase of one T-13 diverter gate in the amount of $24,900 to be mounted on an existing T13 tunnel detector located at Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery. Tunnel detectors are used for adult spawning to detect adult salmon. Each detector is 6' long, 2' wide, and 2' tall. Northwest Marine Technology has been an innovative and responsive industry leader in this field for many years. Its equipment has consistently fulfilled our requirements. The Fisheries Program, Region 1, began implementation in Fiscal year 2004, Congressional legislation that mandates mass marking of hatchery fish that are produced for the purpose of harvest. The items being acquired under this justification are components that assist with this mandated marking. They are compatible with equipment purchased to date and can be serviced and maintained by Northwest Marine Technology. Questions should be directed to Linda Askew at 503-736-4498.
