Description

The USDA, Agricultural Fruit Research Service (AFRS), intends to negotiate a firm-fixed priced contract on a sole source basis with Infrared Systems, 6788 Alicante Ct., Ste 1A, Reno, NV 89523. This contract will be for the procurement of one Thermo Vision A 40 M Researcher HS Package, Researcher Professional Software, 12 Degree Lens, and Image Builder Software. Infrared Systems is an authorized distributor of the specified items. Software must be compatible with existing Inframetrics Camera currently utilized in ongoing research. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation is available. Responsible interested parties with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide the items specified must submit written information to substantiate demonstrated capability and financial capacity including price lists within five days of publication of this notice. Information shall be submitted to Contracting Officer, USDA-AFRS, 2217 Wiltshire Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely at the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). If no affirmative responses are received within five days to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Infrared Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302. The NAICS Code is 334516 with a size standard of and the size standard is 500 Employees. This is a total small business set-aside.
