Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number: AG-94TZ-S-06-0054 Posted Date: June 29, 2006 Response Date: August 14, 2006 Set Aside: 100% Small Business Classification Code: F014 Contracting Office Address: Western Zone Contracting 2324 E McDowell Rd. Phoneix, AZ. 85006 Description: Tree Thinning and Slash Services The contractor shall provide any and all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, services, permits, licenses, and certificates necessary to perform 245 acres of pre-commercial tree thinning and slash treatment on the Mormon Lake Ranger Districts of the Coconino National Forest, Coconino County, Flagstaff, AZ. Contract time is 90 calendar days. Anticipated start date is September 15, 2006. The contractor must be registered with the Department of Labor under the Migrant and Seasonal Workers Protection Act. To go to the Project Site, the Kachina units are accessed via Interstate Highway 17, 7 miles south of Flagstaff (Kelly Canyon Exit). Go east on FR 631 to access multiple units adjacent to the road and to the un-named forest road which accesses another unit. For the Lake Mary units, they are accessed via Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road) for 5 miles south from Flagstaff to Forest Road 132, travel south 1 mile to the project area. Refer to the map for specific locations. Unit boundary exteriors are marked with double orange painted bands and numbers facing into the unit. The solicitation will be available on or about July 14, 2006 with quotations due August 14, 2006. NAICS Code is 115310. Size standard is $6 million. The project is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered.
