- Description
- 1) The objective of Air Force Services is to move towards simplification of interior design not only for our new construction projects, but for renovation projects as well. The six diversified design themes specified in this statement of work are suitable for all bases and their geographic locations. The six themes are: Modern, Mission, Pacific Rim, Transitional, Traditional, and Tropical. 2) This solicitation will result in a multiple award contract. An offeror can submit a proposal for one, several, or all six of the themes. Offerors are required to submit pricing for the furnishings listed in Section B by theme and, using our NPA contractors listed in Section J, provide a total design look complete with storyboards. Offerors must propose several choices for each theme item, i.e. 2-3 headboards, dressers, sofas, etc. Also, wood tones for each theme must be available in a minimum of three shades to include: light, medium, and dark. 3) Offerors should submit their entire line of hardware with each of their submittals. Hardware options should include a full range of draw pulls and handles. 4) Each offeror will submit, at no cost to the Government, a sample nightstand for technical review. One nightstand sample per theme. The nightstand must conform to the specifications listed in the statement of work. Proposals submitted without a sample will be considered non responsive and will not be considered for award. Offerors will submit descriptive literature for the other choices within a theme. The Government reserves the right to request additional sample pieces for evaluation purposes if deemed necessary. 5) Offerors must submit, at a minimum, a concept storyboard for each theme. Proposals submitted without storyboards will be considered non responsive and will not be considered for award. Offerors will incorporate all elements and style choices in their storyboard to include: lamps, plants, artwork, carpet, bedspreads, window treatments, etc. 6) Offerors will submit a proposal for design services per theme. These services can be offered at an hourly rate or a flat fee per room. Pricing for these design services is a line item for each theme in Section B. 7) Each successful offeror agrees to participate in the AFNAFPO Furnishings Catalog. This is a biannual publication printed and mailed to our customers. For each contract theme, the successful offeror will be required to provide a digital layout of 20 pages or less, pricing data, and a participation fee of $4,000.00. 8) The estimated yearly room usage for Air Force Lodging by theme design is: a. Modern ? 416, b. Transitional ? 1552, c. Traditional - 321, d. Mission ? 295, e. Pacific Rim ? 172, f. Tropical ? 436, 9) The Buy American and Trade Agreements Act applies to this solicitation. 10) This is a nonappropriated fund purchase and it does not obligate appropriated funds of the United States Government. Nonappropriated fund are generated by the military community through the sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This purchase does not involve federal tax dollars.
