Description

Description: Notice of availability of a prospectus for solicitation of proposals for the summer seasonal operation of a beach refreshment stand for the public at Herring Cove Beach within Cape Cod National Seashore, Provincetown, Massachusetts for a period of ten years. This prospectus for solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 13, 2006. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The concessioner provides all necessary personnel, equipment, inventory, and supplies. The minimum franchise fee to be paid to the National Park Service is five percent of the concessioner's annual gross receipts. Annual gross receipts for 2005 were $59,916. The prospectus will explain the business opportunity, the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract, the proposal instructions and proposal package (including the selection factors). The solicitation, selection and award of the concession contract will be conducted pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51. The existing concessioner has a right of preference to the new concession contract. Interested parties must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation (prospectus) and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. Any amendments will also be posted to the website. If you are planning to submit a proposal, it is recommended that you check the website for any amendments or additional information prior to the response date. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency.
