Description
NAVSURFWARCEN Crane Division has a requirement for VERSA Module Eurocard (VME) Single Board Computers, Circuit Card Assemblies for Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) system integration. Specific items and quantities are as follows: 150 ea. Single Board Computers, Pentium, p/n V5C-N768-1000R1 105 ea. Triple PMI Mezzanine Card (PMC) Carrier, p/n TPMCCR0 50 ea. Board Mounted IDE Hard & Floppy Drive, p/n VME-6220 55 ea. P2 Adapter, V5C, p/n VME-TB21 The solicitation will be issued utilizing other than full and open competition procedures under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304?(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. An Offer will be solicited from SBS Technologies, 2400 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Delivery is 120 days F.O.B. Destination. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. Offerors are encouraged to access information also available on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. The solicitation will be available for download on or about 15 July 2006. Closing date will be on or about 7 August 06. This notice is a synopsis, does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not a commitment by the U.S. Navy to procure subject equipment. Contract D.A. Frick, Code 0565ZN, e-mail: deborah.frick@navy.mil. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation to be considered. Submitting a bid from the NECO web site by clicking on the "Submit Bid" does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of offerors to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane to be considered.
