- Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures the U.S. Army RDECOM - Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the Unite d States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Eagle Industries ( Eagle ), 1000 Biltmore Drive, Fenton, MO 63026-4662. This effort is to provide the Government with 96 Multipur pose Chest Rigs for testing and evaluation purposes. Eagle is currently supplying Chest Rigs to the Government. This requirement is to test the capabilities of these Chest Rigs when manufactured with alternate fabrics. Since the Chest Rigs currently manufactured by Eagle will serve as the baseline for eval uation, Eagle is the only available source for this requirement.
