The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about July 10, 2006. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This project consists of the general construction of a 32,550 gallon (nominal) steel ground storage reservior with freeze protection including insulation and a heater. The work also includes demolition of an existing 25,000 gallon elevated steel water tower. Power wiring to the heater and float switch installation will be by others. A SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR: JULY 24, 2006 @ 9:00 AM. Contractors shall meet at the Maintenance Building, 1990 Maintenance Way, Richmond, VA 23231. The NAICS code is: 237110. This Request for Quotations (RFQ) is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. It is anticipated that the government will award a firm fixed price contract to the low, responsive, responsible Offeror. Quotations are due AUG 14, 2006 by 4:30 PM. The project estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000.
