- The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Weapons Systems, Quantico, VA, is seeking sources that can provide services to perform unique tasks required to modify the MK19 GMG with Modification Work Order 9-1010-230-50-1, ?Modification of MK19, MOD 3 Machine Gun?. The purpose of this modification is to convert the MK19 Mod 3, 40mm Grenade Machine Gun (NSN 1010-01-126-9063) to the MK19 Mod 3 with Adjustable Sight Mounting Bracket (NSN 1010-01-490-9697) configuration. The modification kit (provided by the Marine Corps) includes the mounting base, mounting screws, firing pin, firing pin sear, cam cocking, cocking lever, and an adjustable secondary drive lever. This is a Depot Level modification requiring highly specialized skills and abilities, knowledge of the MK19 GMG function, operations, and maintenance procedures. Contractor must be able to perform modification with proficiency and accuracy with minimum training. Contractor must have experience with, and working knowledge of the MK19 GMG functions, operations, and maintenance requirements. Contractor must have knowledge of the Modification Management Information System (MMIS) process. Contractor must have knowledge of Military Structure. The weapon requires five (5) holes to be drilled in the receiver to accommodate the mounting base. The mounting base will allow the mounting of the MK19 bracket for the Thermal Weapon System, and the Lightweight Adjustable Sight Bracket for the the AN/PEQ-2 or AN/PAQ-4 and other possible optics and fire control systems. Incorrect drilling could result in a damaged receiver. Performance period: Up to 18 months from contract award. THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The North American Industry Classification System is 541614. The small business size is $6.5 Million.
