Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health and Sciences (USUHS), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-4(b)(1), with UpToDate. for onsite and offsite license to UpToDate, a website offering medical information written by physicians on different clinical specialties. This item is being procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR 12 ? Acquisition of Commercial Items and Far 13 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures. 3rd and 4th year medical students and USUHS faculty require access to these subscriptions to conduct and teach rotations. Sole Source determination is based on UpToDate being the sole owner of the copyright to this material. The period of performance is 01 September 2006 and ends on 31 August 2007. This is not a request for quote. However, all interested parties may contact the Contracting Officer. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide convincing evidence that they can obtain/provide unlimited online access to the listed journals/publications, provide the licensing rights, copyright authority and/or provide the service or product as specified above. Responses must be in writing and must be received in the office by 12 July 2006.
