Description

R-- The National Park Service (NPS) intends to award a sole source non-personal services contract for 1 year for the following services: The NPS Park Facility Management Division (PFMD) uses Timberline Precision Estimating Extended as its core cost estimating database with the Cost Estimating Software System (CESS). CESS provides the primary cost data to the facility Management Software Stewardship System (FMSS). This sole source provides for direct Timberline support for CESS users and administrators; current CESS estimating data; CESS estimating data validation, consistency, and integrity; notification of enhancements and updates to the Timberline Precision Estimating software; and increased estimate quality and precision in FMSS, Maximo, PMIS and other NPS programs. The 2007 RSMeans Composite Database Timberline Update and Annual Service Plan is a product of the initial NPS Timberline Precision Estimating Extended software purchase from 2001. The Annual Service Plan shall provide Basic Care Services and support. Basic Care emphasizes a self-service approach to support and provides such tools as the Technical Support Knowledgebase and a full complement of online information. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive proposal. (End of Announcement)
